Tree maintenance has been taking place in Mahone Bay to keep our street trees healthy and reduce risk.
Sometimes a tree may look healthy from street view but isn't (as in the picture below). All of the trees being trimmed or removed have been assessed by an arborist. The Town views our urban forest as an important asset and is dedicated to protecting and growing it. This includes removing dead or dangerous trees to make way for planting new trees that will be enjoyed by future generations.
