In the matter of the Municipal Government Act and the Town of Mahone Bay
TAKE NOTICE THAT on July 31, 2025, the Council of the Town of Mahone Bay received a request to amend the Land Use By-Law section 5.12 Coastal Elevation.
- Amendments to the Land-Use Bylaw to adjust the language in section 5.12 [Coastal Elevation] to clarify that additions or renovations to existing structures be exempt from the 3.5m vertical setback.
A PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING on this proposal will be held by staff at Town Hall in Council Chambers (493 Main Street), on Tuesday August 26, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the Public Information Meeting is to provide an opportunity for any interested person to obtain information and to discuss the proposal. This is the kick-off meeting for the request.
